Package from KPixie

I have to say...those ladies at KPixie are FAST! I ordered a few things on Friday...which I'll tell you about in a minute...and I got it today (Monday). Very cool and the shipping cost is minimal.

My first Lexie Barnes bag. I really, really like it! I got Flo in Mambo Black (I wear alot of black). The bag is nice and long, small in height, is padded and has lots of pockets on either side of the bag. It is roomy enough to hold my knitting, plus all my other "stuff". I won't be using this as an every day bag, but it definitely will work for when I need to take my knitting places such as the doctor's office, movies, etc.

The other item there on the table is Lorna's Laces Sock yarn in Black Purl.

Bored....which means..time to start another project

I am bored. Bored with Ella. I am almost done, have been working on it all the time, but am getting bored with the pattern. The areas that are colored have been completed. I am really close. I have two more sections left...on the left-hand side. It is about 85% complete.

Ella is done using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted in Tuscany. Here is a closeup - unblocked:

I had to travel to Atlanta for work...which means that it is time to start another sock. Here is Jaywalker #3 using Socks that Rock in Highway 30. Beautiful colorway! Grumperina began a contest for people to submit their Jaywalker pictures to her gallery. I submitted only two out of the three. Great idea Grumperina!

Last item...my new project due to the boredom. I am going to start Bristow. This is a beautiful cable cardigan created by Melanie Gibbons of Pink Lemon Twist. Her pattern is included in the Winter 2005 issue of Knitty. I am using Knit Picks Andean Silk in the Hollyberry color. It is a gorgeous color! It actually looks like a deeper red with blue undertones than what displays on the screen. I am making this cardigan for my sister's birthday on August 20th. Wish me luck that I finish on time! Ok, I am off to knit!

Ferrari

One of my co-workers sent me this link of a woman that made a Ferrari with 12-miles of yarn!

I know it has been a while since I have posted. I will update the blog later today....

Blue Moon Sock Yarn and Mason Dixon Dishcloths

I have started to gather a stash of Blue Moon Sock Yarn. The colors left to right are:
  • Lagoon
  • Mist
  • Highway 30
  • Cobalt Bloom
  • Lapiz
I have decided to use these as "travel knitting" and make them for friends and myself.

I also got into the Mason Dixon KAL. The idea of creating something simple and useful is veryappealing....not to mention, the use of inexpensive yarn. I ordered some Sugar N' Creme online. The first dishcloth I made is called Playtime Creation. The colors are very summery.

I then went to my local Super Wal-Mart and found some Peaches 'N Creme. The colors left to right are: Wine (in Sugar 'N Creme), Fiesta Ombre, Daisy Ombre, Aqua Mist Ombre and Sea Mist. The dishcloth I am making now is in Peaches 'N Creme - Shades of Green. These are fun to knit and are very quick. Love that!
