Wow! A month has passed since I have blogged...

I can't believe it has been over a month since I have posted anything to the blog. That is embarrassing! However, I've been busy...as usual. I don't have photos to post, but this is what I have finished:

Wicked
This is wicked from the Zephyr girls. The pattern is very well written with detailed instructions on how you can customize to your needs. It turned out fantastic! I used Artyarns Supermerino in Purple Royale. It has beautiful colors of deep purple and black. I'll post a picture soon.

Essential Stripe
This is from Wendy at Knit and Tonic. I decided to use the Worsted Weight yarn...Karabella Aurora 8 in Black only. I love black and have been looking for a simple v-neck pullover. It also turned out great. I finished it last night and wore it to work today.

What's Next?
There are a couple of things that I want to knit. There are two from Spring 07 Interweave.

Dollar and a Half Cardigan
I have some unused balls of Rowan Calmer in brown.
I started to swatch last night, but I am having issues with Row 7 of the lace pattern. I'll try again tonight.

Cable Down Raglan
I ordered some Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Teal

I am so upset!

I finished my Everyday Tweed last night. It is actually cold here in Orlando and I was looking forward to wearing my new warm sweater. It is humungous! Gigantic! I am too depressed to show it off. I guess I didn't check my gauge very well. How could this have happened? Well, I still love, love, love the yarn. It will have to wait and be made into something else...probably the Sunrise Circle Jacket by Kate Gilbert. But not yet...maybe in the fall.

Lots to talk about....

2007 has already started in a productive way. Let's get started...

I joined Sundara's Petal Collection Sock Club. I just got January's. It is Lenten Rose. It is the most beautiful lavender, bluish color. The presentation is exquisite. I can't wait to get started!

Daisy Cardigan from Marie Grace Smith from Garter Belt. This was made for my 4 year old niece, Gabriella. She saw me knitting one day and told me that I "had" to make something for her. She said it should be warm and cozy, and must be in yellow. Hence, Daisy Cardigan in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport in "Sunshine". This was a very easy and fun knit. I made it very quickly and she loved it!

Ariann from Chick Knits.
Yarn: Knit Picks Andean Silk in Cranberry

Great knit! I would make it again. I had problems with the lace pattern as I moved up the sweater during the raglan. My fault as this is my first time creating this type of sweater. I had to rip it a couple of times. It is still not according to pattern, but I fudged a bit. I still need to add the buttons. I can't decide between two.

Monkey Socks from Knitty.
Yarn: Socks that Rock in Puck's Mischief

Again, another great pattern! I definitely would make these again!

Future Projects:

Ivy from Knitty
Yarn: Elann Peruvian Highland Silk
Color: Autumn Purple

Here is the KAL

I just b0ught the yarn for Wicked from Zephyr.
I am trying to learn as much as I can from knitting from the top down or down up. I wasn't really interested in this pattern until I saw this from Snitty. I was immediately convinced that I needed to knit this pattern. I decided on Artyarns Supermerino in Purple Royal. The yarn looks absolutely gorgeous!

Xmas Knitting

I have been busily working on my Xmas knitting. The only thing that I have been working on the past couple of weeks has been a gift for my bosses' wife. I have had this boss for about a year, but he has been the best boss I have ever had. He is someone that has everything, but I know that he loves his wife dearly. She is suffering from Alheimerz and it has been tough on him. So, for this Xmas I decided to make Ene's Scarf for his wife. I'm sure he will be touched by the gesture. I have been enjoying it.

Socks, Socks, Socks

Socktoberfest came in handy for me since I have so many socks to knit for Xmas gifts.

I finished the Embossed Leaves socks. They are really phenomenal. I am sure that I will knit them again. These were done in Lorna's Laces Black Purl on Addi Turbo's size 1. One sock is shown, but both are done.

The next socks that I am working on are Rib and Cable socks from IK Fall 2005. These are a Nancy Bush pattern. It is very clear and concise...extremely well written. This is my first short row heel and I have to say that I really like it. I am 5/6 of the way done with the second sock.
